Noise is a health hazard, at work and at home. There are strict laws to protect us from noise and effective protection to conform to them. Even today’s road sweepers are ultra quiet. Yet even people who work in environmental protection are not immune to health risks and occupational accidents – unless they wear protective clothing and make use of warning equipment, seat belts, protective goggles, face masks and earplugs.
